Every growth goal starts with a solid strategical base. An online marketing strategy is based on the business goals, target group and the customer journey of this target group.
The first step is to decide where your business currently stands in the sales funnel. The basic version of this sales funnel follows the steps: Awareness > Engage / Orientate > Convert. If your goal is to generate new leads/clients but you have a new brand, your first priority is to create awareness – and so on. Since a customer (B2B/B2C) needs 7 touchpoints before they convert on average, the next step is to formulate the touchpoints in the customer journey and define your target group. This will form the base of your online marketing strategy.
